WooCommerce Ring Builder for a Cyprus Fine Jeweler

WooCommerce Ring Builder for Jewelry Stores

Project Overview

If your jewelry store sits in Cyprus and your buyers are searching for engagement rings online before they ever visit, you are invisible to every couple who began their search on a competitor’s website, configured a ring, and booked an appointment before they knew your collection existed. Neophytou Jewellery carries natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, colored diamonds, and gemstones across its engagement ring range. Without a way for buyers to discover, compare, and configure that inventory online, the store’s depth of offering was entirely inaccessible to the digital-first buyer.

An engagement ring purchase is among the most researched decisions a couple makes, with research happening almost entirely online before any in-store visit. A store that displays its collection but cannot let a buyer interact with it, pair a stone with a setting, or explore the difference between natural and lab-grown options in the same session is not competing at the level of stores offering a full configuration experience. That gap costs the business every buyer who completes a ring on a competitor’s site and books an appointment there.

The engagement ring buyer arrives with a starting point: a diamond shape they have researched, a metal preference, a budget, or a commitment to a specific stone type. When a website forces all buyers into the same discovery path regardless of where they are in the decision, it fails the buyer who knows exactly what they want and frustrates the buyer who needs guidance. A jeweler carrying natural, lab-grown, and colored diamond options cannot convert either buyer type without a structure that meets each one at their actual starting point.

Personalization is not a luxury feature for fine jewelry: it is often the reason a buyer chooses one jeweler over another when product quality and price are comparable. A couple who wants something personal added to the ring before giving it needs to see that option during the purchase process, not discover it is unavailable after choosing a setting and stone. When customization is absent from the online workflow, the business loses every buyer for whom it was part of the buying criteria, without ever knowing those buyers existed.

Our Solution

Keyideas integrated the WooCommerce Ring Builder into the Neophytou Jewellery website, connecting inventory across four distinct stone categories: lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, colored diamonds, and gemstones. Each category is accessible from within the same guided workflow, allowing buyers to select their preferred stone type, compare options across categories, and pair a certified stone with a compatible ring setting from the Neophytou collection. The Ring Builder connects to live inventory so every completed configuration represents a purchasable combination rather than an aspirational selection disconnected from available stock.

The engagement ring navigation was restructured to present separate entry points matching the distinct starting points buyers bring to the purchase journey: Start with a Setting, Start with a Natural Diamond, Start with a Lab Diamond, and equivalent paths for colored stones and gemstones. A buyer who has already chosen their stone type reaches the relevant inventory in a single step. A buyer still deciding between stone categories is guided through a structured discovery path rather than presented with an undifferentiated catalog they must interpret without guidance.

An engraving add-on was integrated into the Ring Builder workflow, allowing buyers to specify text, font, and placement as part of the ring configuration before completing their order. Engraving is surfaced at the configuration stage rather than at checkout, ensuring buyers for whom personalization is a deciding factor encounter the option at the right moment. The add-on connects to the order management workflow so engraving specifications are passed accurately to the production team with every order, without requiring a separate manual process or post-purchase follow-up.

The Ring Builder was configured with a mobile Grid View add-on that presents diamond and gemstone options in a compact visual layout suited to smartphone browsing rather than forcing the desktop table view onto a smaller screen. The integration required resolving a conflict between the Ring Builder’s iframe architecture and the Seraphinite Accelerator caching plugin, which had caused the builder to display as a blank page under strict server caching rules. Keyideas implemented a force-load bypass that resolved the iframe rendering failure while preserving the site’s caching configuration.
