Senior Shopify Developer

Technical & Professional Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on Shopify development.
• Strong proficiency in React, Node.js, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and responsive frontend engineering.
• Practical understanding of Shopify application architecture, embedded apps, and public app publishing, preferably with a published Shopify App Store app.
• Knowledge of secure authentication, API rate limits, database management, and scalable application design.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding, code review, debugging, and validating production-ready implementations.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, estimate development effort, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage deliverables independently
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities & Skills

• Develop public Shopify apps, custom themes, storefront integrations, and scalable e-commerce solutions for global merchants.
• Build embedded applications using Shopify Admin extensions, Shopify App Bridge, Polaris, and Shopify Plus capabilities.
• Integrate Shopify Admin API, GraphQL, REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and background job queues.
• Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot for development and debugging.
• Manage Git/GitHub workflows, application deployment, automated testing, and security best practices.
• Apply SEO, CRO, performance optimization, and agile development practices to deliver effective e-commerce experiences.
• Work with cloud platforms and scalable application infrastructure to support production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international clients across the USA, EMEA, and APAC; jewelry, fashion, and retail experience is a plus.

Education

BE / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience) .
